Introducing Rita's Room

We are delighted to announce the refurbishment of the downstairs lounge at Crossbasket House, dedicated with love to the memory of Rita Grace Ghazala.

‘Rita’s Room’ is a peaceful, comforting space that will be used by our Family Bereavement Support Service and the families they support.

Rita’s Room also gives families staying in the house a quiet, calm lounge to use in the evenings and weekends, providing respite from the busy hospital environment.

The room was refurbished thanks to funds raised by Rita’s mum and dad, Liz and Fadi. The couple led the epic cycling challenge ‘Ride for Rita’ this summer, and this evening are hosting their own fundraising ball.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Liz, Fadi and everyone who has supported them on their fundraising journey.
